Sometimes when I look in the mirror at night, perhaps while I am just hanging out in the bathroom making sure the kiddos don’t drown in the bathtub, I don’t even recognize the woman who looks back at me. I have been very fortunate to have a very youthful appearance. I just look young and always have. While that meant I got carded well into my 30’s, for the most part I have never much worried about that side of skin care. But when that woman’s eyes started looking tired, I jumped at the chance to try a new product from Influenster when I found out it was an anti-aging cream.
I don’t wear a ton of makeup, but I have always moisturized well. I do prefer a tinted moisturizer like Neutrogena Healthy Skin Glow Sheers. I was anxious to try something that was different, like the Meaningful Beauty Creme de Serum. I am always anxious though to try new things because I can break out like I am 14 again with the wrong thing!
I received the product a few weeks ago and really wanted to give it a good test drive before I wrote my review. First of all, it is beautiful. Who doesn’t like it when the cream is all swirly like in the bottle! It smells lovely – very light! Absolutely silky smooth and just a little bit absorbs nicely! So far so good – no noticeable breakouts (and this was the worst time of the month to test it) and I am hopeful that the dark bags under my eyes are well, a little lighter and less baggy!
However, this is my first serious experiment with anti-aging creams. And given the price tag, it won’t be my only either. This line is pretty pricey in my book. I am grateful to Influenster for the opportunity to try new products and share my experiences.
Now, just to get to that appointment with my hairstylist to cover up that gray!
